How I Found Yoga & Why I Love Teaching It

My name is Lola, I am 39 years old and a certified yoga teacher accredited by Yoga Alliance. I was born in Aktubinsk, Kazakhstan, and before moving to the sunny Costa Blanca three years ago, I lived in Germany.

I discovered yoga at a time when I was looking for more balance, calm, and clarity in my life. At first, it was simply a new way to move my body – but very soon I realized that yoga is so much more.

On the mat, I learned to connect with my breath, to listen to my body, and to arrive fully in the present moment. Today, yoga is a source of strength and serenity that supports me every day.

I love how every practice feels like a fresh start – whether it's gentle and grounding or dynamic and energizing. Sharing this gift and helping others discover their own path through yoga fills me with joy and gratitude.

Start your day with this gentle sequence - no experience needed

1. Child's Pose (1 minute)

Kneel on the floor, sit back on your heels, fold forward with arms extended. Breathe deeply.

2. Cat-Cow Stretches (1 minute)

On hands and knees, arch and round your spine slowly. Follow your breath.

3. Standing Forward Fold (1 minute)

Stand, hinge at hips, let arms hang. Sway gently side to side. Bend knees as needed.

Do I need to be flexible to start yoga?

Not at all! This is one of the most common myths. Yoga is not about being flexible; it's about building flexibility and strength safely. Saying you're not flexible enough for yoga is like saying you're too dirty to take a shower. We meet you exactly where you are and provide modifications to help you gradually and safely increase your range of motion.

What is the main difference between your Hatha and Vinyasa classes?

Think of Hatha as holding and exploring, and Vinyasa as flowing and moving. In our Hatha classes (great for beginners), we hold poses for longer, focusing on alignment and deep stretching.
